Initially, the plan was to design a modest 900-square-foot salon that would serve as a second location, allowing the salon to expand its services while maintaining the intimate atmosphere their clients loved.

Just after securing permits for the new space, the owners presented a new opportunity: the suite next door became available, offering the chance to consolidate operations into one larger, cohesive location. This prompted a significant shift in the project’s scope, doubling the salon’s size to 1600 square feet. Our challenge was to seamlessly integrate this additional space while preserving the original design’s integrity and creating a luxurious, cohesive environment.

The Solution: A Fresh Start with a New Layout

Given the expanded space, our team recognized that a fresh start would be the best way to achieve Studio A Salon’s vision. We discarded the original layout and developed a new design from the ground up, ensuring that the expanded salon would offer a first-class, luxury experience for every client.

The new layout strategically divides the salon into distinct zones that cater to different aspects of the salon experience:

• Reception and Retail Area: The entrance immediately sets the tone with a welcoming and luxurious atmosphere. Clients are greeted by a space that’s both inviting and stylish, with carefully curated retail displays that reflect the salon’s brand.
• Cut and Style Room: Bright and airy, this central space allows for ample natural light, ensuring that clients feel comfortable and pampered. The layout is designed to facilitate easy movement for both stylists and clients, enhancing the overall experience.
• Wash, Color, and Change Areas: These intimate spaces offer privacy while maintaining the salon’s luxurious feel. The design incorporates thoughtful details that make each client’s visit a relaxing, rejuvenating experience.
